Qualifying veterans can receive a supplemental pension by virtue of attaining the age of 65, needing help with an “activity of daily living”, served for 90 consecutive days in the military one day of which was during a declared war. Being in a war zone is NOT a requirement. If certain asset and income requirements are met, the veteran or their surviving spouse may be eligible for funds to assist with home-care needs.

Ramon Agosto Veterans Service Officer for the State of Connecticut is our guest and provides a comprehensive review of this most important benefit.
